I can ping the NAS and SSH into the NAS. No Raidar access. I've tried deleting original Raidar program and downloading new copy but that didn't work.

Can you access the NAS web ui ( https://nas-ip-address/admin )?
How about the shares (\\nas-ip-address in windows explorer address bar)?
- JosephAEDec 21, 2017AspirantWeird. Today now everything is working fine. I didn't do anything other than run Raidar. Thanks for the help. I'll see how long things keep working.
- JosephAEJan 10, 2018AspirantRaidar is not working again. My problem seems to be very intermittent. I can access the NAS by the web using (https://nas-ip-address/admin) and with windows explorer (\\nas-ip-address\folder-name). I’m beginning to think my problem is a network issue but I have no idea of where to start. Would you know of any tools or documentation that would help in diagnosing a network problem?

If it is broken now, try rebooting your router and see if that helps.
RAIDar and the NAS use broadcast UDP packets to discover each other. These are sent on port 22081.
You can try loading wireshark on the PC, and take a network trace when you run RAIDar. You can set up a filtering rule, so you only see packets sent/received on this port.
