ReadyNAS 102 and Hotmail Alerts
I have looked through the forums but the only entries I can find relating to Hotmail seem to be several years old.
I have a new ReadyNAS 102, updated to the latest soft/firmware, and I've been trying to set up alerts to my hotmail.com account. No matter what I specify I don't seem to be able to achieve it and each time I get the same error code viz 5008010001 - this seems to be a meaningless code as far as I can see on Google.
Does anyone know what params are necessary to get alerts to work from this system for hotmail.com addresses please?.

- Bernard46AspirantI guess I should add I've tried smtp.live.com, both ports 25 and 587, ticked use TLS and my hotmail address - maybe I'm misunderstanding what they mean by user and password - the manual says they need the user and password that is associated with the email address - does this really mean both my email address and the password I use to access it, or is it referring to a ReadyNas user and password?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe user and password associated with the email address. Usually the user is the same as your email address.
