Hi medoc,
Could you further describe your problem with your ReadyNAS system or perhaps start a new thread?
Kind regards,

Hi,
actually we are using a Readynas 104, but I think it shouldn't matter really.
The symptoms are similar.
When trying to access shared folders and files in these shares 3 things happen:
- everything is OK - everyone is happy
- folder is accessible but slow - opening files can take very long or even fails
- cannot access folder. On macs the error message is "The operation can't be completed because the original item for "WORK" can't be found."
Thanks,
medoc

Hi medoc,
Can you confirm if "WORK" is a share or the Workgroup name of your ReadyNAS system? Also, is the system up to date?
Kind regards,

Hi medoc,
Was the problem evident in both SMB and AFP protocols? Also, have you considered updating to 6.5.0 or 6.5.1?
Kind regards,

We primarly use SMB because of the mixed environment (there are PC-s as well) but have tried AFP when the problem arose. And I can confirm that it affects both SMB and AFP.
We plan to update to the newest firmware, but as I mentioned this problem survived previous updates already.
