ReadyNas 1100 can't connect --PLEASE HELP--

Our company has a ReadyNAs 1100 that's used to store data temporary. For whatever reason we cant seem to find the IP address or get it to grab an IP address. Both NIC's light up on the back and on the front panel. (One isnt solid green, but it seems to be blinking.) On the front of the panel I have a blue light that flashes off and on. (Which is normal, i believe.)

- I've tried changing our routers subnet because the old IT guy switch subnets, but still nothing.
- I ran RAIDar on both of those subnets and it cant seem to find the NAS.
- I unplugged the NAS and hooked it up to a 4 port hub along with my laptop, but didnt notice any activity...

Does anyone have any way for me to figure out the IP, so I can connect to the device?!?!?! We're really hoping this data isnt lost! Thanks in advance!!

  • You can connect the NAS directly to a PC and assign a static IP 192.168.168.x (the default IP of the NAS is 192.168.168.168. so you should assign an IP on its range). Check it on raidar or try to ping the IP (192.168.168.168) if it responds, try accessing it using a browser.

If there is a static IP assigned on the NAS, you have to perform an OS reinstall.
