ReadyNAS 314 running slowly after 6.4.0 upgrade
Since upgrading my 314 to 6.4.0 it's been running very slowly taking about 30 seconds to login to the admin page. Sometimes it doesn't even load it. Also AFP/TimeMachine connections are now very intermittant.
Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

if possible do a factory reset for a fresh clean install

Same issues here.
I have additional problems as well that you may have and not have noticed.
The connection to the NAS drive drops out and my network can see the device but can no longer access it. If I force power down the device and turn back on it comes back to life for a few minutes and I can access the NAS, admin page and data but then it drops the connection again and I cant even access the admin page.
This is all because of the 6.4.0 update as it runs the backup every day and only started with these issues the day after the update.
I have my NAS set to power off at night and I am wondering if the NAS was still doing something to do with the update (which I did at 2pm) when the drive shutdown.
Losing all the data (7.1TB) on the NAS is not an option.
Netrage2 I dont know if this will help you but we were having very similar problems.
I managed to get on the web interface for about 10 minutes without it dropping out. In those 10 minutes i managed to delete some of the snapshots and set the snapshot schedule to never.
This did not solve the problem completly but it did give me longer on the web interface to give me time to delete the remaining snapshots.
At first the 316 was still unusable but the next morning it was accessible, it wasnt sluggish and I have been using it as normal again for the last 5 days.
So basically try and delete any snapshots you have on there and remove any snapshot schedule. Although it means that you wont have any snapshots, it does mean that you can at least use your NAS until Netgear release some sort of fix for this.
I hope that helps you.

Thats interesting as my first login time was around 10 minutes as well. I used the time to pull some important files off the drive and delete around 1TB of data that I dont need but then it dropped out.
How are you removing the snaphots, I have never removed them before and given I only have a few minutes to do it I would welcome your technique.

Just an update to this. Following advice here and on other posts I've disabled all snapshots and deleted the ones that were already there. The 314 has been stable since (15 hours ish) and is responsive again.
This thread has a useful script you can run over ssh to delete existing snapshots a lot quicker than doing it through the GUI https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/rn104-updated-to-6-4-0-and-possible-solution-to-random-lock-ups/td-p/993214
Hopefully Netgear will release a firmware upgrade quickly so I can turn snapshots back on.

Update:
Overnight the NAS seemed to complete the reprocess of the snapshots and the NAS let me access it fully this morning. I have since removed all existing snapshots and stopped any new ones from being created.
Looking at the logs, the event that keeps repeating for the time period that the NAS was unusable is related to reprocessing of the snapshots so it looks like any other request to the NAS be it for data access, admin access or even for it to reboot was ignored due to the overloaded work that the firware update had started. Now that work is finished the NAS seems to be usable again.
The only advice I can give to others with the same issue is to try and remove any existing snapshots, stop new ones being created and leave the NAS on 24/7 until it becomes stable.
At least we have a temporary fix unitl someone is brave(or stupid) enough to try the beta.
