ReadyNAS 3220 FW 6.9.3: Bond interface bond0 has slave interface eth0 offline.

Hi All,

We have a ReadyNAS 3220 running FW 6.9.3 (Just upgerade last week) and we are receiving errors in regards to the ether bond.

"Bond interface bond0 has slave interface eth0 offline."

Looking through the community, this happened for users in 6.9.0 but was fixed in a later FW update. Is anyone else having ths issue, and do I just need to sit tight for it to be resolved in the next release?

Cheers,

Mike

    Hi MadManMike12,

    Welcome to the Community!

This should have been solved already on firmware 6.9.1. Have you checked your physical connection?

You may also provide to us to complete system logs of the NAS. You may visit this link for the procedure on how to send it.

    Regards,

Physical connectivity is OK, I went ot the DC on Sunday monring and checked it while I was there. This error has only come up ufter the upgrade to the latest FW version. I've sent the logs in via email.

For bonding issue on 6.9.0, it only happen on RN312/314/316,

    RN3220 didn't see the issue,

I see you update FW from 6.5.2 to 6.9.3, it has big kernel change.

I try to reproduce the issue, install 6.5.2 on RN3220 and run factory default, add eth0 and eth2 to bond0 (802.3ad LACP layer2),

then update to 6.9.3, but don't see the issue in my local,

Which switch are you using? Which bonding mode did you create?

Could you please delete bonding on your NAS and check if eth0 is offline after delete bonding?
