- Until I post the FAQ, here is the info for reference:
LED blink behavior for 2 disk systems is three quick blinks of all disk LEDs and the backup LED, followed by an 1s delay, followed by a number of slow blinks. The number of slow blinks will be the error code.
Current error codes:
1 - Vendor mismatch
2 - No disks detected
3 - Bad contents on root partition of disks
4 - Flash error
5 - Unsupported RAID configuration

- etardieuTutorI have a readynas duo. I powered it off this afternoon, now it won't boot. The led pattern is:
three rapid blinks of blue and the three green lights (activity, I and II)
three slow blinks of the "I " green led.
What's going on?
Thanks!

If you see the NAS in RAIDar (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20684/) what do you see under the Info (far right) column? - etardieuTutorYes, I found the Led pattern documentation after I posted, I thought it was a corrupt boot as well. However, I can't see the unit with RAIDar.
In the meantime, I started transfering the data to another disk using RT-Linux. But it does take a very long time to do it via usb2 to another usb2 external drive  - etardieuTutorCrucial 1Gb memory chip was dead. Put back stock 256M chip and it booted. I just ordered an ultra 2 this morning! damn.
E./ - Nightwolf1AspirantHey all. I have a old ReadyNas 600. The power button doesn't seem to be working. It fires up when I hit the power button on the PSU and then does a alternating flash between 1/2 and 3/4. The power light doesn't light up. A buddy and I were going through the light codes and have tried all the advise we have found. Tried doing a firware upgrade, installed a video card so we could see if we could get a local view, and swapped out the ram with multiple sticks. Still does the same thing.
We think I need to get a new board for it. This happens with 2- 2TB drives in it or out of it.
Any advise would be greatful? - dekkitAspirantout of interest is RT-Linux better than RT-Windows at restoring data from the readynas duo (SPARC)? I found with the Windows one it didn't seem to find everything (even though the drive was fine in the end)?
- glowflyAspirantI have a ReadyNAS NV with pulsating blue light and occasional ACT light, but no LED flashing from the disk LEDs. This is not a pattern described here http://www.readynas.com/download/documentation/support/ReadyNAS-LED.pdf . Does anyone know what this means?
Thanks! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you see the NAS in RAIDar?
Are you having a problem with your NAS? - glowflyAspiranthi mdgm, I cannot see the NAS in RAIDar. When I booted up skipping disk check, it was discovered in RAIDar with a TELNET message.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThat message indicates you booted it into tech support mode: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24874
