ReadyNAS NV+ v2 - No volume shows up after disk swap
Hi.
I've had my ReadyNas for 5 years and I originally set it up with 4 disks in Raid 0. All disk have shown up as volumes in the System->Overview section. A few weeks back I decided to get rid of a couple of the old disks and replace them with a few that was a bit newer and bigger. So I removed the old ones and inserted the new ones. I get a message that the disks have been inserted and a scan is being performed. The problem is that none of the new disks end up as volumes so I cannot create shares on them. I can only create new shares on the two remaining disks that were there from the start when I sat it up 5 years ago.
The thing is that is's been so long so I'm not sure if I have to do something to make them appear as volumes or if it should be done automatically.
A small side note is that if I use RAIDar I do see that all disks are recognizesed and get a green "check"
They also appear in the System -> info section at the top where all disks are listed like this:

Does anybody have any idea why they are not showing up?

Hello jalia,
That must be 4 disks, not 5 because that is a 4-bay NAS.
Which RAID level did you configure on the NAS? I noticed that the disks do not have the same capacity.
If you do not have backup yet, please back up the data first.

Yes, the 5 disk was a typo. It is of course 4 disks.
As I've written I did choose Raid 0 which is ever disk for them selves so I don't understand why the new disks aren't showing up. I have even added the same disks that I used before after they were formatted. Not even they are showing up

I believe this can happen sometimes on the v2. One option would be to update your regular backup, do a factory reset (wipes all data, settings, everything) and restore your data from backup.
