Readynas NV +V2 unable to access data volume
Hello everyone,
I returned home from work one day to find that my NAS was displaying the following message "Vol C Lifesupp". I wasn't that worried as I thought it was telling me one of the drives was dead and I could just replace it. Before I could get the new drive I needed to power the NAS off as my electric was being turned off. I powered the NAS off using its power button, just pressed it twice and it shutdown as normal.
The next day I pressed the power button and walked away as it usually takes a little while to power on, I wasn't expecting it to resolve the issue. When I got the new drive I thought I would log into the management page and just confirm the dead drive, upon logging into the page it appears none of the volumes are accessible.
Checking info I can see all disks are list as present and status ok, I then tried to access the share through windows which does appear if I do \\NASname but windows says it can't access it.
I checked with RAIDar and it said all drives are healthy
Restarting the NAS just does a normal restart with no scans/errors etc.
Here are the details
Model: ReadyNAS NV+ V2
Firmware: RAIDiator 5.3.13
Raid Type: X-RAID2
I've added a few pic.

It looks to like disk 4 is failing.
I suggest downloading the full log zip file from the web UI, and asking one of the mods to analyze it. Send a Private Message (PM) to JohnCM_S or Marc_V with a downloadable link to the logs. Don't post them publicly. You can send a PM using the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum page.
