ReadyNAS NV+ won't power up
My question is I bought it Jan of 2007 before Infrant was bought by NetGear. Do I still have a valid warranty with this unit?
By power up, I mean it is dead. As if the power cord was not plugged in. No sign of life.
Thanks,
K

- arnie1AspirantThankyou... i called them, they asked me to drop an email to secondline suppport. They replied with a message asking my address to send me out a replacment..
THANK YOU :) - blainegAspirantThanks for all the information. My ReadyNAS NV+ was dead when I got home today. This thread was the first match on Google, and one phone call later, a replacement power supply is on the way.
One thing that really impressed me is that the lady that answered my call dealt with me from start to finish. No bouncing around from department to department. - kapreadyAspirantHi,
Just had the same problem tonight with my Infrant ReadyNAS NV+, now dead after about 3.5 years of daily use.
The ReadyNAS in question was purchased on 10-MAY-2007. It has S/N = 000D-A201-4Fxx which I understand is eligible for a power supply replacement.
Could you please confirm this? How should I proceed to have it fixed?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help,
Pierre - chirpaLuminaryThat serial is in range. Contact support (numbers below in my signature), and they can setup an RMA.
- kapreadyAspirantThanks for your quick answer.
- kapreadyAspirantWell, I just contacted support. If I understand well, it seems my device's warranty expired, and I have to purchase a technical support contract of 3 years before being eligible for a device replacement.
- chirpaLuminaryKap, I added a note to your case (#13639683). Please phone them up again, give that case number. If they read the note I added, everything should be processed without issue.
- simo_in_ozAspirantThanks for this topic.
My ReadyNAS NV+ has also died with the same symptoms, and a SN in the relevant range.
When I was able to direct them to this thread they agreed the power supply should be replaced. (Case #: 136-499-01)
What is puzzling me a little is they are sending me a new power supply only rather than just a replacement NV+. Seems a bit odd - the power supply in the NV+ does not look like a consumer replaceable part.
And yes they want the old power supply returned and will be charging my CC if I don't sent it back pronto.
Is that what normally happens ?
Just seems odd.

Thanks
New PSU did NOT come with any instructions, but found them through your link
