    A lot of legacy ReadyNAS users already did this and it appears to be working.

      Actually on my Ultra 2 + 6.4.0 there is no problem.
      Ultra 2 + OS X 6 is not supported so i'm afraid problems.

        You can downgrade back to 6.4.0 without a reset.  So the risk isn't that high.

         

        I'll spare you the full backup lecture, but if you don't have backups you should.
