RN10400 led blink/flash but nothing more :(
Hello,
I just received a RN10400, it had no hdd inside and no power adapter .
I buyed a power adapter and I putin a hdd
When I connect the power adapter to the rn10400 ..... for couple of seconds, the "power button" led flash quick , then it continue to flash "normal" ........forever . I checked with my router the ip adress of the NAS , it responded to ping ...but it does not accept any connection with a web browser ..... if there is a display on this machine ..... mine is not working .
If anyone can guide what and how to do to make it work, I would really apreciate it !
My item is this :
I opened the NAS and fixed the display . Everything works now

Did you purchase it new, or did you buy it used?
If you purchased new, it should have had the power adapter. In that case you should contact Netgear support at my.netgear.com, or (likely better) return it to the seller in exchange for a complete and working unit. Even if you purchased used, you should probably contact the seller.
You could try installing RAIDar in a PC, and see what status it gives you. You can download RAIDar here: http://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads?cid=wmt_netgear_organic#raidar
Note that if the disk you inserted was formatted, the system will not do the factory install. So you either need to zero the disk, or use the factory default procedure on page 27-28 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf
That procedure does require a working LCD though.
