    It looks like you are already in FlexRAID (which is good - if you were running XRAID you'd have a 3x4TB RAID-5 volume, with half of disk 3 going unused.

     

    If you select disk 3 in the center pane, you should be able to create a jbod volume on it. Page 36 of the software manual outlines the procedure:  https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/READYNAS_OS_6_SM_EN.pdf

     

    I don't recommend volume encryption btw, buf of course that is a topic where people here have different views.
