RNDU4000 - No space left on device (28) - SOLVED :)

Hi,

I've have the returning problem that NZBGet gives the error:

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/var/lib/php5/sess_e825e68ac41faac8d1c187538625e3f1, O_RDWR) failed: No space left on device (28) in /c/webroot/nzbgetweb/login.php on line 5

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /c/webroot/nzbgetweb/login.php:5) in /c/webroot/nzbgetweb/login.php on line 5

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /c/webroot/nzbgetweb/login.php:5) in /c/webroot/nzbgetweb/login.php on line 5

Last year I contacted Dutch Netgear support and they passed it to L3 in Ireland.
After a few attempts they fixed the problem (and they told me to update DLNA plugin), but now it has returned again.

Dutch support told me that they do no longer support this device and that I have to call Ireland directly.
Before that I would like to ask if anybody knows why this problem keeps coming back and more important: how to fix it.

Previous case#: 17334121 and 19658758‏

Has it something to do with "inodes" / system partition?
My ReadyNAS is running on RAIDiator 4.2.24 and Frontview has no logs (No logs exist)

Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,

Peter

I don't use NZBGet, but generally speaking if there is room on the C volume, then the error could be a result of the OS partition filling up.

L3 support can clean that up fairly quickly. Don't delay, as this condition can totally lock up the NAS.

After it is resolved, there is a ReadyDLNA add-on that will put the DLNA database on the C drive (instead of the OS partition) which can help.

Thanks for the reply, but I really would like to be able to fix the problem myself and better: find the source of the problem in order to prevent it for happining ever again.
L3 told me that it was fixed, but appaently not :(

Do you have the link to the add-on you mentioned? It should be something with DLNA. Here is the L3 quote:

    > The DLNA cache had exhausted the inodes in the OS partition.

    > I hope that newer version of miniDLNA will prevent this from happening

After login thay said everything was OK. That was on 2012-10-18 and now the problem is back
  • Thank you for the responses. The add-on (Toggle_ReadyDLNA_CacheDir_1.0-x86.bin) will not install (error: update file is not valid for this architectture) but this problem can be because of full partition. I do think my problem is with DLNA cache.

What command can I execute in order to clear this cache and free space my self?
    I already have ssh access.
  • Thank you very much!!! Will try tonight.
What command should I use to check disk / inodes usage?
  • Thanks, problem fixed.
inodes was 100% in use and after deletion of minidlna dir: 23%
All is working well again and I can now succesfully install the add-on.

Last question: the add-on for changing cache dir does not show up anywhere?

Correct. If you want to revert the change (not sure why you would want to do this as the inodes would likely get filled up again) you would install the add-on again. It's a toggle.

    Thanks!
    Appreciate all your help :)
