Share access on Backup, with Egnyte users.
Hi.
Im running a Netgear NAS Pro 4.
I'm running Egnyte's cloud solution on it, latest version.
I create all users manually to make it work with Egnyte.
I then decided that I wanted to do an extra backup with the feature on the NAS.
The thing is, if people specify the backup path - or know the path, they all can access the backup share and see all folders, plus private folders.
- This is unacceptable.
But no matter what I try in the settings, with CIFS or AFP, it kinda reverts the settings.
What I want is that my user is the only one allowed to view the backup share.
Can someone guide me on how to do this? I just need to be able to contact the share from a windows environment.
What troubles me is most obvious settings is greyed out, and when you finally try something it reverts the settings back on apply.
Thanks.

- JohnnyEgnyteAspirantHi Tech-tonic, this issue relates to selecting an option in the NETGEAR UI during backup.
Try using following commands to make yourself owner and give full permissions to just yourself.
chown -R <user> <backup share>
chgrp -R egnyte-admins <backup share>
chmod -R 700 <backup share>
