Update from 6.7.5 to 6.9.0 not rebooting or shutting down

Just updated a new (currently not production) 626 from 6.7.5 to 6.9.0 and after using the web application to upload the firmware the unit requested permission to reboot "Firmware version 6.9.0 was uploaded and will be installed after you reboot the device". The front panel says "Rebooting See you soon".

However, the unit never actually reboots. The web interface is still active and thinks the current firmware version is 6.7.5.

Not sure if I should force power cycle the unit or just wait for awhile.

Being that it is not a production machine I can leave it this way if there is a question that would be useful to check before I power cycle it.

  • Note that I have tried hitting the button to restart the machine multiple times and it goes away, the unit does not reboot and it comes back to the same point.

Also tried "restart" in the power menu

Also tried "shutdown" in the power menu.

None of these resulted in a reboot or update of the firmware.

Strange. Did you try pressing the power button briefly three times to shutdown the unit?

Not yet, was checking to see if anyone wanted me to look around the unit before I did anything more drastic.

My plan is to try the graceful shutdown via the power switch (press power button 3 times)

If that does not work, hold the power button until the machine powers off and then power back on

If that does not work, pull the plug

As of this morning it still had the "Rebooting, See you soon..." on the front panel.

I'll report back with the result and what the status of the box is after these attempts.
