Upgrading manually some upgradable installed packages
Hi everyone,
I have some questions about upgrading process the installed packages.
I have done this command-line
apt list --installed
and the result see https://intranet.vaultize.com/share/e-18-EVlCCuTtbFw4dwtYd-jRvgqeCOAXN
I would like to know :
1) if I can do the upgrade of these upgradable packages by myself with a safe command line ?
2) if during an Official new FW update release these packages are upgraded?
3) if I do a manual upgrading with stable releases, the packages are retrocompatible with other installed features on the ReadyNas? it's safe or not?
4) How can I cleanup the non-used packages, how can I identify them ?
I want to improve my ReadyNas

Sure.
Updating packages is at your own risk. You may wish to try doing it in the VM first. If you break the VM that's much less hassle than breaking the NAS. We do hold some packages back on old versions deliberately.
