USB HDD backup folders not recognized

I use a Freecom 4TB USB HDD for backup of my RN202. The USB HDD has two partitions USB_HDD_5 and USB_HDD_6. I have backup procedures that directs data from the RN202 to these two partitions depending on how much data change. HDD_5 contains daily changes. HDD_6 contains an image repository that rarely changes, but when it does, with large amount of data. This has worked perfectly until I upgraded to 6.6.0. After the upgrade tne RN202 only indentifies one of the partitions on the USB HDD. Mainly the HDD_5, but sometimes also HDD_6. It seems to be random however. Anybody who can help?

Best,

Jesper

That's ruled out then.  It is possibly a limitation of the tools you are using.

There have been improvements in NTFS support over past couple of releases - its much faster than it was.  Maybe try switching the disk to NTFS?

You might also try R-linux for windows, and see if it behaves the same way.

    Hello bodd,

Please try other USB ports of the NAS and let us know. What is the file system format of the USB HDD, by the way?

      Hi

Same result for lower rear and front USB port. The upper rear port – the USB HDD is not detected at all (maybe because the HDD is USB 3.0?). The format used on both partitions is EXT4. I can see both partitions from my PC using Ext2read!

        Hello bodd,

Was this working before updating the firmware version and what was the firmware version prior to the update?

Please also download logs and send them, include the link of this thread.
