USB Not attached but accessable i Explorer??

Do you know which Duo hardware version you are running? What is the firmware version you have loaded on it?
The Duo V1 and Duo V2 have different interfaces and it would be easier to assist with that information.

You should have a USB option to unmount the drive.

So you are not able to see the USB drive listed under the Volume/ USB Storage?
(You should have an option to disconnect the usb drive in that section.)


You mentioned that you had "temporarily removed it", did you plug it into a Windows machine?
I have seen if you pulled the plug in some cases it will lock the drive on other systems. There is a flag that can be removed depending on what happened in the previous removing process.

Correct, its not listed under USB Volume but i can move and delete files from it in WinExpl

I did not plug it in elseywhere, just had to move it fysically to get to some cables.
I´m pretty sure I didnt make a safe removal via the powerbutton :(

Used the addon "Clean_USB_Storage" found on http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=617
Followed instructions and the Duo found the drive directly
