Warranty for ReadyNas NV+
Hello,
I have a Netgear ReadyNas NV+ purchased in December 2009 with a dead power supply. I entered a case with Netgear support, and they are telling me that the unit is not under warranty - however if I look at the listing in Amazon, where I purchased the unit, it stated that they have a 5 year warranty. Can anyone tell me what the correct warranty length is?
The support response was encouraging me to purchase an extended warranty for $150 a year....

- chirpaLuminaryThere are many people out there with PSUs that are going to fail. Would be nice if NTGR offered a retrofit kit for sale, that replaces the back slot where the power cord goes, with the external power brick that the v2 uses. Just has to go from the molex 12V/5V ATX header to the external brick.
This way people can still run their system when the PSU goes bad. Instead right now, they are left with a brick, not being able to access their data. Or having to go custom wire a standard PSU, voiding warranty for sure. When systems are in warranty, because the v1 is now out of stock, they give a v2 unit as replacement, which the filesystem is not compatible, so no access to data still.
