X-Raid Data Recovery
Hi,
Please can someone advise how to recover the data off a single disk from a 2 disk X-Raid set up?? One of my disks died and since then, my Duo is now not booting.
As you may have seen from my previous topic, I'm in a bit of a pickle. At this point I am considering paying for data recovery with Netgear but I'm not even sure how to go about that. Besides, they might not assist me anyway.
Can X-Raid be read in Linux? Is there anyway of reading it in Windows?
Any help would be good help right now.

- de_niroGuideHave you tried os reinstall on front panel?or you have to contact support center to have them take a look your device
- DPIPIMHouseAspirantI couldn't find the support centre contact details, do you have them just in case? I doubt they'd help anyway, I found out my disks aren't in HCL.
I think I might be getting somewhere this morning but it's a long shot.
I'm currently doing a factory reset on my Duo with the spare 1.5Tb disk. Once installed and configured, I'm hoping that the 1.5Tb disk holding my Data can be read through the USB port on the Duo and I can copy all Data back onto my new X-Raid partition.
Do you know if the Duo will read X-Raid through its USB port???? - DPIPIMHouseAspirantAll data lost. My own fault.
Ended up formatting disks and started from scratch.
I have some data backed up but I'm still gutted.
If anyone experiences the same issue, here's my advice........- Remove both the defective and the good drive.
Check/Replace the defective drive.
Perform a Factory reset with just the replaced/blank drive in the Duo.
Plug in the good drive containing old data into the USB port. (USB does read X-Raid)
Copy Data back to device.
After copy and check, remove the USB disk and format it.
Place newly formatted disk into second bay to go fully redundant again.
