Please add Circle to the R9000 Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Quad-Stream Wireless Router. I selected the R9000 because it had enough hardwired ports to connect to my existing wired network and the 2Gbps port agregation was a bonus for connecting to my Netgear ReadyNAS. However, for some reason NetGear has decided to abandon those who purchased their flagship Nighthawk router and are offering Circle only on there less expensive models. Also, just to add some confusion, if you go to the R9000 product page, there are references to Circle on the page under parental controls!

I bought the R9000 as I thought it had circle on it.. if you look at the advertisement it's not clear at all .. so why not add it and if so when...
Not happy

Do you have the latest firmware for your device? That may add Circle.
- halonacoastNovicePlease add Circle support to R9000, as well as OpenVPN client mode support. All your features should start on the R9000 and trickle down ... why are you ignoring your most devoted customers!

Can we get an answer to Circle support on the X10 ... Or I will also have to return it..

I have the latest firmware (V1.0.4.12) and it's definitely still not there. I also tried to see if I could add a Circle device separate from the router, but on the Circle website it appears the Circle device needs to have compatibility with the router and r9000 is not listed as compatible. Also looking to know when ths will be added to the r9000 router! Thanks.

updated to latest firmware will not help to get circle on the router. As many have posted here, circle software with netgear r9000 has not worked and may not work as it seems netgear/circle is not interested in making R9000 being compatible, altho false marketing on their website states it does. Many have returned R9000 in this confusion.
However, Circle "device" does with with R9000 router, altho its not listed in the compatible routers list. hope this helps.

The nighthawk x10 is supposed to be the best but it’s like netgear just gave up on it! The older netgear routers support stuff that the x10 doesn’t! You would think a newer router would support more but this is not the case here. Definitely Not worth the $!!

So would it be a safe bet; not having an answer for this from Netgear, then the answer is NO. Circle will never be supported on their flagship?
Unfortunately I cannot return mine. But I can sell it and go with a different brand.
So sad.

This was a pretty expensive router and one of their top tier. It is extremely frustrating how useless the parental controls are and that this wasn't one of the first routers with Circle enabled. The router has become a poor choice in many ways. Please add Circle.
