C3700v2 Override
Xfinity outtage Friday, since restored. Speed has dropped 70% to under 30mbps. Xfinity support tells me I need to "override equipment" to allow new signal from Xfinity to reestablish 100mbps speed.
I have a modem/router Netgear C3700v2.
I have rebooted and firmware is current. Comcast tells me they ahve made changes on their end,
something needs to change on Netgear unit to allow.
Anyone have any idea what they are talking about, and how to accomplish this?
Thx!

Re: C3700v2 Override
Try a factory reset reste and setup from scratch.
There is no over-ride user feature I believe on this modem. Mostly all done at the ISP level.
Only a power OFF for 1 minute then back on or a factory reset would be needed.

Re: C3700v2 Override
Yep,
I have done the power cycle already, multiple times.
Trying to avoid the reset if I can. Comcast is supposed to be calling
and waiting to hear what soembody who knows what is going on says!
So far phone support has been useless.
I still suspoect it is something on their end
which of course they are not admitting 😉
Thanks for the response.
