CM600 won't negotiate 800down/100up
Thank you!
I am experiencing the exact same issues as the OP. Xfinity, an 800 Mbps upgrade activation, and just seeing 400/24 Mbps. Ordered a CM1100.
After Xfinity installed the boot file, d11_m_cm600_superfast_c01.cm, I can't log in to the modem with either my changed creds or the defaults. Could do a factory reset, but going to leave well enough alone until the CM1100 arrives.

If you look here, https://assets.xfinity.com/assets/dotcom/projects/cix-4997_compatible-devices/2023.10.23%20Full%20Li...
You’ll see they only guarantee 945Mbps down. Best guaranteed upload speed is 460-ish Mbps.

Thanks for the heads-up on the upload speed. Not a gamer so 200 Mbps will do me fine.

Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.

Re: CM600 won't negotiate 800down/100up
I can't post the status and events, because after Xfinity installed its boot file I can't log in to the modem. Neither my creds nor the defaults work. Not sure what a factory default reboot does to the boot file, so I've decided to leave it alone until the CM1100 arrives.

Would not bother the boot config.
Good Luck.

Re: CM600 won't negotiate 800down/100up
As I last stated above, my CM600, no longer would accept my personal creds, nor would it accept the default creds.
I reset it to factory defaults using the recessed button. It still will not accept either my personal or the default creds. How do I get access?

Re: CM600 won't negotiate 800down/100up
Did you factory reset the modem by removing the ISP coax cable from the back of the modem and press the reste button for 10 seconds then release then give say 1-2 minutes to see if you can access the modems web page using the default log in thats printed on the modems sticker?

Doh!. No. Just pressed the button. Forgot the process. Thanks.
Will the proper reset process wipe the current boot file and reinstall the original default as it came from the factory? If so, I believe this would require an Xfinity reactivation.
