Connection Issues
I have Comcast/Xfinity internet service to the modem. I can direct feed from the modem into my desktop and have internet access but once i unplug from the desk top and feed into a nighthawk/orbi mesh system it is telling me i do not have an internet connection. Any thoughts?

Re: Connection Issues
You have the CM1200?
1 thing to be aware of. The CM1200 might have 4x ethernet ports but on comcast only 1 device can be connected.
Whenever you change the connected device, you have to power off the modem for a couple minutes, then power it back on with nothing connected, then connect your device.
so try this.
Power off the router and the modem. Disconnect everything from both. Even coax from modem.
Wait a couple minutes.
connect coax back to the cm1200.
Boot it up and give it a couple minutes to fully boot.
connect port 1 on the modem (with a high quality ethernet cable) to the router.
Boot up the router and give a couple minutes.
attempt setup.
