New CM2050V and old R7900P
Hello, I am replacing my old CM1000 router with a new CM2050V router this week and I wanted to know if my current WiFi router R7900P which is about 5-6 years old. If it doesn't work well with the new router which WiFi router should I get?
Thanks for your help with this.

Re: New CM2050V and old R7900P
Yes. Just be aware that the CM modem supports 2.5Gb connection rates which the R7900P doesn't so when you connect it to the CM modem, the max rate will be 1000Mpbs.
FYI about the R7900P and EoL:

Re: New CM2050V and old R7900P
Why the upgrade?
The CM1000 is good to up to gigabit speeds. So unless you pay for faster (and have a router that has a 2.5gig port) you won't see any benefit.
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity
