desktop wifi slow
Hi -
I have a weird problem Am running Windows 10. Just installed the Netgear cable modem and it works great on every device in the house except for the desktop which is closest to the router. Am getting 2.5 mips on the desktop and 120 mips on my cell phone, etc.
Any ideas? When the Xfinity Tech was here, he did something to the router or something and when he left the desk top was getting 125 mips...but then I had to reset the router at one point and now I am getting 2-3 mips.
I have tried everything...and have narrowed it down to the adress? or the con figuaration that it needs to be compatible with my desktop??
Would love any help or suggestions.

Re: desktop wifi slow
did he change what band you were connected to? 5ghz is much faster and has less interference.
Or did the tech change which channel the wifi was broadcasting on?
