[D6300] Port Forwarding

Hi,
i have a D6300 with this firmware V1.0.0.42_1.0.42.
When i try to create new port forwarding rules i cannot choose a different port of destination.

Can you help me to do an inbound port forward from port A to a port B?

Thanks for support.

Because you can not. Most Netgear home end router do not support port translation.

Re: [D6300] Port Forwarding

Thanks for answer me.
Looking on the web I had found this guide on the D6300:

It's an old firmware that allow that?

Re: [D6300] Port Forwarding

i'm seeking support here, for that reason. Maybe someone know which firmware can do that 😄

For an High End router like the D6300 i think isn't normale that this option is deactived 😛

Re: [D6300] Port Forwarding

I have the same issue: a high end product like the D6300 or D6200 *should* have port translation, especially since it was obviously present in a prior firmware release. I just bought a D6200 not imagining that it would not have it, but without this feature it is not going to be one that I recommend. Come on, Netgear, put this extremely useful feature back in a future firmware release!

In the meantime remove the misleading information in http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24046 which states that D6200, amongst others, has it.

Re: [D6300] Port Forwarding

I also have wasted quite a lot of money buying this router and other Netgear products to go with this router but can’t get Port Forwarding for my server and other equipment to work!

Been using Belkin for years and years with not one problem and I went with the Netgear stuff for the 802.11ac, big, sorry enormous mistake!!

Hi, I notice you have used these words before in other threads “port translation” in other words this router does not have the ability to “Port Forwarding” then why are Netgear selling a router with options within the software to “Port Forwarding”

Looks like they are selling a product that doesn’t do what it is supposed to do!!

Re: [D6300] Port Forwarding

Some router model do and some don't

Complain netgear directly.
