I have a D6400 Router that work's fine on 2.4GHz.
I want to try to use the 5GHz.
I've just updated the firmware to the latest version, and rebooted the router.
Gone into Basic, Wireless and both are enabled. My phone can't see the 5GHz network.
If I go into Advanced, the 2.4GHz is showing as a green tick but the 5GHz is showing as a red cross.
Wireless AP is set to Off.
What am I doing wrong?

Did you reset the router to factory settings after the firmware flash?
New firmware sometimes introduces changes that are not compatible with the old configuration.
So a factory reset is the first thing to try if you have problems with new firmware.

Re: D6400 not turning on 5Ghz
That's good. You don't always need it, but when there are problems there's no harm in trying.
A reset does lose the settings, but there are ways of trying to save those if you have complicated customisation.
Investigate the option to backup your settings.
