There was a time when the D7000 was implicated in the great security disaster if 2016. That turned out to be a false alarm. So the D7000 didn't even get an update for that nasty.
I'm puzzled by the interface reference. Netgear's interface has been like that for ages. Changing it could cause more grief than benefit ad we all learn to live with what they change. But I guess there are people who pay attention to cosmetic fripperies.
