DGN2200 no internet connection with different devices
Hi everyone
I just bought a N300 Wireless DSL Modem Router - DGN2200 and I experience the problem, that I cannot access the internet with more than one device (currently online with my MacBook pro) at the time. My devices (MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPhone 4, HP EliteBook notebook and two Samsung S3 phones) connect to the router but not to the internet.
I managed to do the following settings which I hoped to be the right ones after reading through different threads in here.
Internet set up --> Internet IP Address: get dynamically from ISP
Domain Name Server Address: get automatically from ISP
NAT: enable
Router MAC Address: Use default Address
Wireless set up: --> Enable SSID Broadcast
Region: Europe (I'm living in Switzerland)
Channel: Auto
Mode: Up to 145 Mbps
Security Options: WPA2-PSK (AES) --> I tried WPA-PSK (TKIP) + WPA2-PSK (AES) but then the internet connection with my macbook pro got lost.
LAN Setup --> IP Address: 192.168.0.1
IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
RIP Direction: Both ways
RIP Version: RIP_2B
Use Router as DHCP Server: Yes
Starting IP from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254
Do I have to change some other settings or what can I do to make it work?
Thanks! B

Re: DGN2200 no internet connection with different devices
Did you try updating the firmware? Maybe that will solve those issues. Also if you update the firmware don't forget to reset the router.

Hi
instead of choosing
Router MAC Address: Use default Address. Try to check the Use computer mac address and also verify the vpi and vci values

Re: DGN2200 no internet connection with different devices
Thanks a lot for your help. I'm not really familiar with all this vpi and vci stuff but i think this is for adsl connections. But i got a cable one (over the TV plug). However adsl settings are on vpi 8 and vci 35. Seems right for switzerland.
I'm running out of options 😞

Re: DGN2200 no internet connection with different devices
Since You have a Cable connection and the DGN2200 device supports only DSL connection.
better for Your cable connection you can buy DGN2200v4.
