DGN3500: Previously deleted rules still active, but invisible?
Hello
On my DGN3500 I created a service/firewall rule before, which I deleted later on as I didn't use it anymore. Now I wanted to create a new rule on the same port than the rule before, and when I try to save the rule, I get the message that the rule is already existing (double rule, or something like that, mine is in german).
Or: when I saved the rule, the rule's name was automatically changed to the name it has before I deleted the rule?
It seems as if there were som entries in this menu missing?

Re: DGN3500: Previously deleted rules still active, but invisible?
Thank you. I tried it out, made a hard reset, started from scratch again. Then I added my first firewall rule (under "Block services), 3389 for Remotedesktop Connection. When I saved the rule, I wanted to modify it, then it was suddenly gone, disappeared. So I added the same rule again, then I got the message "Duplicate Rule"...

Re: DGN3500: Previously deleted rules still active, but invisible?
Problem SOLVED!! I think the problem was related to the new firmware 1.1.0.33 (WW). So I just reverted to firmware 1.1.0.28 and now all my firewall rules and services are instantly back again! All my services I created before are now visible again, see pic.

The big difference in these 2 firmware versions are:
-In 1.1.0.28 I have SERVICES, which I first have to define, and then based on it I can set up Firewall Rules
-In 1.1.0.33 SERVICES is called PORT FORWARDING/TRIGGERING
I think the firmware upgrade did mess up everything. Maybe I would have to set up everything in the router from scratch again, yesterday after the hard reset, but I just hadn't the patience and time to do this again...
So, I will wait until the router itself finds a new firmware, and not force to update the firmware by myself.

if you hard reset the router and still have had an issue where different firmware fixed the issues then I would agreed that there is an issue in firmware as bug
please report the issue to support using my.netgear.com

Re: DGN3500: Previously deleted rules still active, but invisible?
I hope the underpaid third world programmers who are responsible for DGN3500 firmware V1.1.00.36_1.00.36NA are actually using it.
This interface suffers from the lack of developer actually using the interface for actual day-to-day work or play!
