Nighthawk D7000 - Not booting after power cycle
My D7000 modem router was running slow and playing up last night so i turned it off, unplugged all connections and left it for 30 seconds. Upon trying to start it again, the power LED would stay lit with an amber/orange light. I tried holding reset but no luck, have left it off over night and tried again but still no progress. I read online that holding the reset button for 30 seconds, and while holding remove power supply, and then plug in power supply and continue holding the reset button for 30 seconds would also reset the router. After that, the light flashes orange and amber but after restarting the light remains amber.
I connected through ethernet to attempt to get into the dashboard using routerlogin.net, 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 but nothing worked. I ran ipconfig /all and wasnt getting an ip i'm used to seeing from the router (169.254.78.108)
Any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds like it is dead. If the firmware is corrupt, then the only way out may be to try tftp.

I'd also check that the power supply isn't on the blink.

Re: Nighthawk D7000 - Not booting after power cycle
TFTP is not the easiest thing to use.
You might find something more detailed out in Google land.
Or the D7000 may just be dead.

This would be the happiest reason.

So, you're doing this on some kind of Windows system?

To the Ethernet interface? Actual values?

Actual command?
As usual, showing actual actions with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.
