gs605 v5 throttling speeds

I have a 5 port unmanaged switch that throttles internet speeds to each channel.  I have cox gigablast and direct wired in to PC using speetest.net generally returns 800+ mbps. when i plug into the switch each channel is throttled to about 120 mpbs.  is this normal?

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

yeah i was looking there but couldn't find the info i am looking for.  I have a Nighthawk x4s ac3200 modem router combo with an ethernet cable direct to the GS605(v5).  all channels are throttled down.  is this a result of the port i'm using on the router or is this a function of the router that can be changed?

Is the Nighthawk x4s ac3200 the C7800 cable modem/router? x4s ac3200 isn't a model number.

By the way, the GS605 dates back to 2004. But it should be faster than 100 Mbps.

Hard to tell with so little information to go on. It probably won't be something you can change, but there may be something going on locally that causes the slowdown. It could be something as simple as the wrong cables, especially if they are as old as the switch.

There there is the "cox gigablast" thing. What is it? Just the cable ISP? No hardware supplied?

Is the Nighthawk x4s ac3200 the C7800 cable modem/router? x4s ac3200 isn't a model number. 

The box says Nighthawk x4s ac3200 but yes i believe it's the c7800.

The cox gigablast is the ISP and speed.  it's 1000mbps which i usually only get 800+ mbps which is more than sufficient.  My cables are only 2-3 years old and ran thru my attic but were rated for outdoor use.

My GS605 is the V5 version and was purchased new about a year ago.

I think i may just switch to a hub rather than a switch due to this issue but i'm not sure

as previously mentioned, i believe it's the c7800.  looking at the side of the box it does say that as well

I was able to confirm it's the C7800(V2)
