FVS318N VLAN to VLAN rules
Hi all.
I am no firewall guru, but still. I wanted to set up separate VLAN:s to have a secure and unsecure network. I want to connect between the two VLAN:s only on one port, from one side.
But I find no option limiting access between the VLAN:s. Either open or not open, that kind of limit the usability of VLAN for me. Is there really no way?
Also I would like the two VLAN:s to use different external IP:s, that seems also to be a hard time setting up.
This device is really not that easy to configure, and the logs are really bad. I have configured way more advanced networks without any hassle using SonicWall.
I will try to return it if nobody says that I am wrong when I say that the device sucks.
Regards
Tobias

Re: FVS318N VLAN to VLAN rules
You need Prosecure UTM serials to setup different LAN subnet using VLAN , Also internVLAN feature will communicates between the VLAN or not

Re: FVS318N VLAN to VLAN rules
I do have different subnets on the VLAN:s. But no option to limit access between them.
Well, you get what you pay for. Did not pay much for this one.
Thanks for the response.

Re: FVS318N VLAN to VLAN rules
Is there some way to enable loopback? That would be one way of getting around the problem.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: FVS318N VLAN to VLAN rules
Yes, still VLAN to VLAN. I just want to be able to ftp into my "unsecure" part of the network without opening up between them.

Re: FVS318N VLAN to VLAN rules
Any tip on how that rule would look? I have tried with no success.
Thanks for all your help so far.

Re: FVS318N VLAN to VLAN rules
To thought ... I think only the Prosecure has able to have rules between VLAN
In that case you either fully allow with inter clan enable with no limits
