NETGEAR M4100-26G no Ip Address on devices only computers

Hi I have a modem/router set to DCHP and a netgear managaged switch connected to that with DCHP disabled. I can obtain an IP address from all computers but not from devices such as TV,Blue ray player. Computers get ip address 192.168.x.x but devices get ip address 169.254.x.x

Are the TV and Blu-ray player wired devices?

Are they configured to use DHCP to obtain IP addresses?

Besides disabling DHCP, have you changed any other settings on the switch, like enabling VLANs?

Have you done anything special to the DHCP server on the modem/router? Set up DHCP reservations? Changed the DHCP range of addresses?

Re: NETGEAR M4100-26G no Ip Address on devices only computers

everything is wired

yes they are configured to use DHCP to obtain ip address " when i plug them direct into router it obtains correct ip"

No i don't beleve any other settings have changed

DHCP server hasn't been touched

it's odd that my computers obtain ip addresses correctly and are working fine but other devices do not.

Check the Ethernet cabling?

Are the link lights lit on the switch ports connected to the TV and Blu-ray player?

Do the Port Settings on the switch indicate that the ports are up?

Cabling is fine, yes ports light up.
If I enter ip, gateway, etc manually it connects correctly

@hivoltage1,

Kindly try to reboot the TV and Blu-ray player while connected to the M4100-26G switch then check if it will obtain an IP address from the router.
