This might be a dumb question, but here goes.
Can a Managed switch be used as Unmanaged?
At the moment I only need an unmanaged switch, but MIGHT find a need or use for a managed switch in the future, so is it feasible to buy a managed switch (perhaps also with POE which I do not need right now), and just use it as unmanaged until I need to do more with it?
Thanks.

Yes, you can! Default settings should be fine for you, in principle, and management will be available in the future for you.
