PSA - How to get Armor Vulnerability Scans Back - A Step by Step Guide
First, my actual router is a RBK50v2. For some reason I can't choose that.
I'll introduce myself. I have 26 years PC troubleshooting and repair experience and 12+ years of coding experience.
I got sick and tired of waiting for the completely worthless Netgear Support to actually solve anything. So I took it upon myself to figure it out, because they weren't going to be of any help at all. They are no help to you either, so here I am to help you. Have you done a firmware upgrade recently and your vulnerability scans stopped altogether? Yeah me too. Or perhaps they just stopped for no known reason.
Here's how to get them back: Go to the Armor Website
1. Completely remove every device. (This is a stupidly slow and cumbersome task due to the poor design)
2. Go into the Orbi App and completely disable Netgear Armor on the router.
3. Close the Orbi app by backing out and choosing Yes to close the app.
4. Turn off every wireless device you can in your house.
5. Turn off your router and unplug it. Do the same for your satellite(s) if you have one.
6. Wait at least one minute.
7. Plug in and start up your router and satellite(s).
8. Once the router and satellite(s) are up and running start connecting all your devices.
9. Once all devices are connected go into the Orbi app and restart Netgear Armor.
10. In a few minutes Vulnerability Scans will start again.
11. You may need to sign back in and setup the Armor app on your Android or IOS device.
That's it! It worked wonders for me doing exactly that.
