Unable to apply the VLAN member configuration for device xxxxx-xxxxxx
Hi
Prior to starting this thread, I completely reset my Netgear network: I deleted all devices from Insight, I deleted all locations from Insight, I deleted all device backups from Insight and I performed a factory reset of all Netgear devices via the reset button (waited for the power lights to go orange etc).
I've simplified my network for PD by removing everything except an internet connection, a router, a WAP and a switch. AT&T provides Internet connectivity via fibre to a BGW210-700. The AT&T router connects into the BR500 WAN port. I then have a WAC540 and a GC728XP connected to the BR500 on ports 1 and 2 respectively.
I've done absolutely nothing else to this test environment except replacing the switch with a GC110P. The error was consistent. Unless Insight somehow stores configurations in addition to the backup / restore function, the three devices should be as vanilla as possible. IP addresses are in sequence from 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.3.
I'm receiving the following error "Unable to apply the VLAN member configuration for device xxxxx-xxxxxx". It happens each time I connect a switch to the network or attempt to define a new VPN. Adding the stock BR500 goes without incidence. Similarly, adding the WAC540 proceeds without error. However, immediately after I add a switch, any GC728XP, GC110P, or GC110, Insight processes the add and I receive the message above.
Regardless of the errors, everything is passing packets.
I'd appreciate any help you all may give. TYVM.

Reads more like an issue with Insight - @RaghuHR please move accordingly to Insight Network Management section and pick this up.

Re: Unable to apply the VLAN member configuration for device xxxxx-xxxxxx
The firmware update for the switches released these hours seem to address the issue of failed VLAN configs from Insight.

Re: Unable to apply the VLAN member configuration for device xxxxx-xxxxxx
I just completed the firmware upgrade on the GC728XP. I then removed it and added it back to my network. Unfortunately, the issue remains. There's no change.

Re: Unable to apply the VLAN member configuration for device xxxxx-xxxxxx
One other data point.
I've provisioned 4 GC110P switches connecting through the GC728XP. When reviewing attached neighbors, the ports connecting between the switches (both sides) report IP addresses of 192.168.0.239. I understand that's a default address, but I don't understand why it's being used. I can't be the only guy using these boxes. I'd really appreciate comments. Thank you very much.
