Is Circle still running on RBR50, despite cancelling and now using SPC?
Ok, I may be getting way too far down into the weeds of things and misunderstanding how it all works, but..
Having done a debug log capture on my RBR50 (with 2 x RBS50, all running FW V2.7.3.22), looking through the files produced, I'm curious whether Circle is still present and running in the background.
In the debug logs, there is a debug_circle.zip which when you dig deeper, seems to show activity being tracked, but I'm unsure how much of this is just something that is triggered as part of the debug process or, if Circle is still sitting there runing despite my no longer subscribing and having moved to SPC. I can see what looks like network traffic that being captured in some of the logs, for example stuff going to the Playstation network at a time prior to when the debug was run - which suggests it is still doing 'something'..
I have done a factory reset since stopping using Circle, so assumption was it would have been removed, but maybe that was assuming too much.
Am probably rambling now, but anyone know how to get rid of Circle, if it's still doing stuff in the background, despite no longer being something I am subscribing to?
Is there a way to fully wipe the RBR and re-install the latest FW or, am I getting overly obsessed by this?

Unfortunately, I don't recall either way.
I think I have the house to myself tomorrow, so am going to have another crack at a reset and build up from there (can always drop the old config backup in if there's no change from reset).
Had wondered whether there would be any mileage in trying to manually install the latest FW (V2.7.3.22), even though it's already on there (not even sure if this is possible given it may check the current vsn), in case this did any kind of clearing up of old code/remnants of Circle?

Don't apply any backup configurations from file after the reset. You maybe introducing the problem. Need to reset and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser first. Avoid enabling Armor or Circle if appears after the setup wizard completes.

Today, I have done the following;
Reinstalled 2.7.3.22 on RBR50 and 2x RBS50 (just because I can)
Tested speed on PS5 - no change
Factory reset RBR and other than getting it to connect to my ISP modem, changed nothing - which kept network traffic to a minimum (didn't add RBSs)
Tested speed on PS5 - no change
Bit of head scratching and re-test of speed when connected to ISP modem - still getting >900mbps
Changed RBR from Router to AP mode
Tested speed on PS5 - consistently getting much higher speeds >500mbps, often >800mbps-900mbps, more in line with ISP device
Changed RBR back to Router mode
Tested speed on PS5 - back to 150mbps-300mbps
Changed DNS settings on RBR, tried a few options 8.8.8.8 and ISP DNS
Tested speed on PS5 - still 150mbps-300mbps
Also, made sure no double NAT impact when RBR in Router mode by setting ISP device in Modem mode.
Conclusion..?
For whatever reason, Router mode on RBR results in slower traffic for the PS5 than AP mode.
Also, looks like I'm high and dry with NG based on my call with support the other day. They said, yes, I'm paying for SPC, but no, they can't help as they would need to get onto my router to investigate and as it's out of warranty, they won't. Which sucks. The lady then hung up on me when I asked her to explain how SPC actually works, is it router based or does it send traffic via a different DNS.. Curious if they are throttling Playstation Network traffic through SPC..but, alas, will probably never find out.
As I need SPC for the rest of our devices, have re-enabled and moved the PS5 to be wired directly to the ISP router and will just have to set some time limits on the MAC address and rely on their web filters to do the right thing.

Ok, Ya I don't use SPC and have seen others report that SPC seems the throttle speeds. I presume this maybe a factor of controls having to process many things and with that and the router having to processs other stuff, just not really capable of doing all and possible causing slow speeds to be seen. Honestly, for gaming, controls like SPC, traffic meter, circle and such are not recommended. Especially if your an avid gamer. I know with a clean system with out SPC enabled, the RBR is cableable of handling near 900Mpbs and those wire connected devices will see near 900Mpbs on the wire. You'l never see this on wireless. Usually maxes out at 300-500Mpbs depending upon device support and design.

Thanks. Yes, I think I will conclude that any gaming from a PS perspective, needs are to be done outside of Orbi, which is disappointing, but hey-ho.
Most wired devices that I can test on, will run comfortably close to or above 900mbps (depending what else is running) and, with our set up, wireless runs to about 550mbps, which is more than acceptable - and no-one is complaining about the speed.
It was just bugging me why the PS wasn't topping out much higher - and I think I'll just accept it is as it is for now with my altered setup.

From what I've seen and experineced, game consoles don't really have the best wifi adapter or drivers. Even in MS consoles, been problematic over the years. MS seems to set up the wifi at the onset and users are stuck with what ever they put in. I presume maybe similar with Sony. Another thing is that the design and support of the wifi adapters in game consoles may only be a 1x1 or 2x2 antenna configuration. These will max out at around 300-500Mpbs depending on there support, wifi signals and noise. I don't know if newer gen consoles have 4x4 antennas. I would presume no. 4x4 allows for higher speeds to be seen.
