I have taken delivery of s tiny new Orbi 770 (RBE771) 1 x router and 2 x satellites.
F/W V10.5.13.1_2.2.34
The setup process was very easy and everything works as it should.
I am however, now unable to access the 'access control' section on the routers webpage.
All other section are accessible but I am just met with the following message ...
"To use Access Control, please use the Orbi App.'
All well and good saying that but I have lost the ability to allow / block all new devices, as this is not a feature built into the app.
Has anyone else had this issue or more importantly, been able to find a fix?

If you setup the system using Orbi app and may have activated Smart Parental Controls trial period, This will disable AC on the RBRs web UI and you'll need to use Orbi app to control devices there.

When the trial runs out and expires, you'll get Access Controls back in the RBR web page.

Re: Unable to access 'access control' Orbi 770 RBE771
How can I set my router to block all new connections.
There doesn’t seem to be an option for this in the app.

Has to be done after devices are connected.

Re: Unable to access 'access control' Orbi 770 RBE771
This is a very confusing discussion because of Smart Parental Controls (SPC).
If SPC is not enabled, then Orbi routers have a feature on the web interface called Access Control.
Page 55 of the User Manual shows that the Orbi 970 is like all previous Orbi systems:
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBE973S/RBE971_RBE970_UM.pdf
i.e. the user can set the system to:
- Allow new devices to connect, or
- Block new devices from connecting.
(assuming that the User Manual is correct. I have been fooled before.)
Enabling SPC on the AX Orbi products appears to remove Access Control from the web interface and force the user to utilize features of SPC to control which devices are allowed (or blocked) on the network.
It is all very annoying.

Re: Unable to access 'access control' Orbi 770 RBE771
Since Apple allow the user of the device to set a rotating MAC it will connect to the network and sit outside of the inbuilt controls rendering the parental controls useless.

Re: Unable to access 'access control' Orbi 770 RBE771
Hi @FURRYe38
I disabled Parental Controls and Security in the Orbi app hoping that I would then gain access to the security tab on the routers web page, it doesn't seem to have made a difference, I still do not have access to 'access control'.
Do you know why this might be?
