Backup to multiple USB drives (swapping everyday)? ReadyNAS RN424
Hello,
after studying the manual I'm still unsure if it possible to use multiple USB drives for backup.
Target is for example: Creating 5 backup-jobs and swapping the USB drive everyday?
Hopefully I didn't miss it, but how is the backup data stored? Is ist like a crypted/protected snapshot, or just raw data and I can plug in the USB drive (NTFS) to any pc an access it?
Thank's in advance and best regards
RM

You can rotate USB drives, but you do need to be careful to eject them using the web admin ui before you remove them. Linux isn't as nice as Windows or MacOS in that regard.
The normal backup jobs copy files, and the output is not encrypted. NTFS formatting is fine (and I do recommend using a format that you can read on another device).
