I have updated my firmware and got following problems
1- It has broken 1 of my network interface.
2- I am unable to see any available apps.
3- I was unable to turn off ready cloud
4- Clicking on firmware give me error message to check internet connection and getting dns communication error
done os reinstall but still same issue
install same firmware again couple of times
I can now able to turn off ready cloud and firmware update is no more having dns and communication issue but still unable to talk through 1 of the NIC and can't see any available apps.
I shouldn't have update my firmware as it was working without any trouble, can i roll it back?
Please help me.

1) How do I point it myself to the correct drive should this happen again ?
1. Create new .apps and home subvolume in new volume, (For example, MyData is new volume)
a. Access NAS via SSH, then run below two commands,
btrfs subvol create /MyData/.apps
btrfs subvol create /MyData/Home
2. /lib/systemd/system/apps.mount and /lib/systemd/system/home.mount were pointing to the NEW volume using vimtiny command, (For example, MyData is new volume in below config)
root@NAS:/# cd /lib/systemd/system
root@NAS:/lib/systemd/system# cat apps.mount
[Unit]
Description=Apps Directory
After=local-fs.target
Before=multi-user.target
[Mount]
What=/MyData/.apps
Where=/apps
Type=none
Options=bind
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
root@NAS:/lib/systemd/system# cat home.mount
[Unit]
Description=Home Directory
After=local-fs.target
Before=multi-user.target
[Mount]
What=/MyData/home
Where=/home
Type=none
Options=bind
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
root@NAS:/lib/systemd/system#
3. Run OS Reinstall,
2) Should I not use my previous saved config file ? (last time I used this file and it has braked everything again)
You can't restore old config file because mount path is changed, if use old config, it will point to old volume in config file.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
That's the status log. The Sending Logs link in my sig explains how to download the logs and send the zip file in.
From your status log I can see that you have some very full data volumes.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
Thanks Evan2
That seems to be fixed my network interface port issue ONLY.
Checked again all other issues and those issue still exist
disabling ipv6 is fine for now but I think we need to have a proper fix, probably have urgent next firmware to fix these bugs.
Waiting for my other issues to be fixed.
do let me know once you got a solution please.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
It seems your NAS has problem when conenct to Internet becasue available apps and ReadyCLOUD need NAS connect to Internet.
Does your two Ethernet interface connect to Internet? or only a Ehternet port can connect to Internet?
For NAS, eht0 must connect to Internet because eth0 is router port when both eth0 and eht1 connected.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
ReadyCLOUD is now connected and I can see all my drive when I login to my ReadyCLOUD login.
However when I try to turn off ready cloud button, button moves to OFF and then move back to ON at the same time............weired
Apps, though still not working
Can we get an urgent firmware to fix these issues?
My previous firmware which was 2 updates older was not having any such issues - infact I was pretty happy with that firmware as no issue at all with it for me.
I think this firmware was a big flop and Netgear shouldn't have this firmware released with all these issues.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
Your network configuration seems to be broken. Multiple adapters on the same system within the same subnet is known to be problematic on every OS that I know of. Here's a Microsoft article explaining some of the issues.
How are you trying to use the two network adapters? Maybe we can suggest a more appropriate alternative network configuration.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
Hi Skywalker, Thanks for your contribution.
I never had any issue since I bought this unit with previous firmware. I am amazed that you people are not commenting anything about the firmware and trying to prove my Unit, my Network and problem with me.
My Nas is connected to Netgear router and Netgear router is connected to modem, pretty simple setup, always use to work.
Let me know if we can do some troubleshooting in regards to now "apps are not showing" however "I can able to see my nas over internet"
Once again If I can see my Nas over internet and only apps are not showing, don't really understand how it is network/internet setup issue.
I am not novice in IT and had been working as IT Admin for last 20 years, so please provide some solid solution which make sense instead of running me around with small tweeking.
Regards,

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
Don't connect two ports in a same subnet,
if you connect two ports in a same subnet, in fact, it only use a Ethernet interface transfer data (For example: if access to NAS via ethx, it will always use this port transfer data, anotehr ports won't use), this is known issue.
For app doesn't show issue from your report, I tried to reproduce it in local yesterday, but don't see the isse, I need more checking.

Looks like your apps were on a volume on a removed disk e.g. your SeaGate volume perhaps.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
Mdgm mean is
there are all avaliable apps on a volume, but the volume is on your a removed disk,
so all available app disappeare,
for example, my system (default setting), all availabe apps (in /apps/.freeapp) is on data volume (md127)
if data volume removed, all availabe app will disappear,
Please run os-reinstall, all available apps (.freeapp folder) will come back, it will put on the first volume in your NAS.
/dev/md127 on /data type btrfs (rw,noatime,nodiratime,nospace_cache,subvolid=5,subvol=/)
/dev/md127 on /apps type btrfs (rw,noatime,nodiratime,nospace_cache,subvolid=258,subvol=/.apps)
/dev/md127 on /home type btrfs (rw,noatime,nodiratime,nospace_cache,subvolid=257,subvol=/home)
/dev/md127 on /run/nfs4/home type btrfs (rw,noatime,nodiratime,nospace_cache,subvolid=257,subvol=/home)

Thanks for the explanation Evan otherwise what mdgm has written was shoot out above from my head (couldn't able to understand)
Re installing of the OS is the first thing I have done even before posting it here but that did make any difference
I can do that again if you think it will/can fix or atleast worth trying.

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
Please try os-reinstall again and check if all available apps come back,
Note: I tried to delete .freeapp folder in backend yesterday, all available will disappear in admin GUI, then run os-reinstall, they come back.
if don't come back, please let me know, I will check with developer how to do?
below link is how to do OS reinstall in boot menu for RN314,

Re: Firmware 6.7.1 Broken my 1 Network Interface and lots of other problems
Does your NAS have internet connectivity (including DNS)?
