How about free replicate licenses for non-OS6 systems?
For those of us left out in the cold and stuck with old systems (like my Pro 6's) that won't get the new OS 6, how about offering free Replicate licenses, so the older systems can be put to use as backups to new OS6 capable systems.

Re: How about free replicate licenses for non-OS6 systems?
+1 here as well. I realize I'm a bit late seeing this.
Even though I have rsync / ssh going on my ultra 4+, it was only with a hack of the new version of the current radiator 4 OS. It seems I may lose that capability if I ever update the OS.
I'm a bit peeved that even as I continue to support Netgear with the purchase of the new 314, they have EOL'd my Ultra even when it is still under warranty.
Anyway, my set up is exactly as some have stated, I'm using the ultra to back up the 314. Sorry for the rant, but I would really appreciate this feature.

I submitted a PM to cap1 but the mail is still sitting in my outbox. There is nothing in sent and nothing in draft.
Did I miss something?

Re: How about free replicate licenses for non-OS6 systems?
I am very confused. It appears from reading forums that duo v2 should have replicate available for it yet under Genie aps it does not reflect that. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Dear cap1,
Just sent you a PM. Have an Ultra 4 and a ReadyNAS 102.
Hope to be able to do ReadyNAS Replicate between the two devices.
Thanks,

Re: How about free replicate licenses for non-OS6 systems?
I have submitted a request for a license too. I have two readynas pro I would like to use this feature. I'm using Acronis backup and recovery 11.5 and the method to replicate with-in this application is too long.

I emailed and got no response at all. That was on 8th February, so don't think I'm being impatient 😄
I've moved over to Synology now though.

cap1 responds to requests via PM or email.
blue_max you could try sending a PM to him again if you are still interested in a licence.

perhaps it would be better to automate this somehow, like maybe a web form or mailing address to request a license generation.

Yes, either Netgear are providing licenses for certain products or they are not. It should be possible especially if you have registered a product with Netgear to get the license without feeling like someone is doing you a personal favour.

Thank you, but I only have the one machine now. And that has been relegated to a back up volume.
Synology all the way for me now and never looked back. I'm still pretty angry my pro4 was end of lined. Only come on here for old times sake.
