ReadyNAS 314 RAM Upgrade

I setup a ReadyNAS a few years back and upgraded the RAM in it. I am looking to buy a 314, from the looks of it, it comes with one DDR3 slot that has 2GB. I want to upgrade it, does anyone know what the max it will support?

I am also sonsidering the ReadyNAS 516 and would love to know about RAM upgrades for it as well.

You can put a total of 4GB in the 314. There is an existing thread dedicated to this exact topic here in the ReadyNAS forums.

The 516 can take 2x8GB ECC RAM.

Note that we don't support 3rd party RAM upgrades as described in the thread nsne linked to.
