Readynas NV+ v1 crashed, can i plug the hdd into a new Readynas 204 and contunie using my data?

Hi, I have an older Readynas nv+ v1,

it died on me,  beyond repair, but the four hdd that were inside still work, can i plug these into a new readynas 204 and have my data ready to use again?

or what steps would i have to take to restore my old data?

thanks for your help..

You can't simply migrate the disks, you'll need to copy the data to external storage.

Netgear's info on this is here: http://kb.netgear.com/29876/ReadyNAS-Migrating-disks-from-RAIDiator-4-1-or-RAIDiator-5-3-to-ReadyNAS...  Some posters here have said that support will charge even you are within the 90 day support window for the RN204.

If you have a PC that you can boot up under linux (perhaps using a LiveCD or LiveUSB boot) then you can mount the drives yourself using this guide: http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=306
