Sync time with and without network connected.

Hi

Will sync go faster with network fable disconnected?

I just reset my R104.. due it took dor ever.. like 300+ hours to synd 2 x 10TB and 2 x 12TB disks..

Thought with reset and total new X-Raid.. it would go faster..

But no.. still take a week or so.. So i wonder, will it go faster with no network connect. Notis when  i access the NAS in any way, time goes up a lot.. Even when not reading/writing to the NAS. So im thinking.. the network will for sure look at the NAS now and then.. And think.. this will slow it even more.. If  write to the nas now, it goes from 60 to 340 hours remain in a few min.

Not really.  The sync does run at a lower priority than file transfers, so if you use the NAS heavily it can take longer.  But just connecting it to the network won't affect the running time.

It has to access every sector on every drive, so it will be doing 42 TB of disk I/O.  So it will definitely take a while.

The time shown in the web ui is just an estimate.
