Volume Backup on ReadyNAS OS6 to another ReadyNAS os6
Need to Backup entire volume of RN314 to RN104 on a Schedule basis using the Built in Backup option . When i configure volume backup from 1st to 2nd NAS , the snapshots also gets copied and makes the backup progress very long and do not get completed . Just shows "In Progress always" and only Home folders gets copied .
Is there a way to do thru Rsync ? There is options to exclude folder on Rsync . Pls advice .

Re: Volume Backup on ReadyNAS OS6 to another ReadyNAS os6
My guess is to create Backupjobs for the individual shares and not for volume /data.
I am using the rsync option for the backupjobs and it works really well. No shapshots in the backups detected.
Another advice is to disable snapshotacces when it is not needed, coz i read somewhere on the forum that that allso spoils it.

Yes that's right. Backup by share gives you more versatility and if using rsync you simply exclude the snapshot folder from the backup when you set it up.
