iso9660 Kernel modules
Hi ReadyNAS team,
I'm extremely happy with my NV+, and its still going strong after 3 years.
I've built many other tools for mine to fill various gaps in my environment, however the one feature that would be great is ISO9660 support in the Kernel to allow mounting of ISO's on the NAS itself.
An example of why this would be great is so that I can loopback mount RHEL ISO's and export them via NFS/HTTP for YUM clients, rather than having to extract their contents somewhere on the filesystem and take up space.
In the past, i've grabbed the kernel source and built these myself, but its a timely process as getting the development environment running on my mac is tough and slow to compile, and each new update seems to invalidate the modules, requiring a rebuild.
It would be great if you included these modules as part of the updates going forward so everyone could start using them.
All the best,
./kj
