MAC Address - Unknown Device
Hi
I recently added 2 R6020 routers to my network, and very happy with them.
But I have a problem that I have an unknown device on the network now, which has an IP that changes through the ip range, causing ip conflicts, and stopping the wired network. Wireless is working OK.
I have the mac address 44:F4:77:C2:1F:C1 and the manufacturer appears as Juniper Networks on IP scanner.
It's driving me insane, as I can't locate it, and I've identified all the devices connected to the network, and none have the mac address.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @SqueezeFreely,
Welcome to the community!
As a workaround, you can try address reservation for your devices instead. The steps are linked below.

Re: MAC Address - Unknown Device
Hi Dexter,
Thanks for the response.
I've done that, and added an Ethernet MAC filter, and it seems to have blocked it from the network (at this stage).
Thanks

How are they configured? Both as routers? One as an Access Point?
Is the D6000 in your "footer" also on the network, or was that just a random choice?
If all works well, great, but if ou have issues later you may need to look at that arrangement.
By the way, you have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Apps and Services.) Your devices are General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk).
You might get better replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section:
